Hotel occupancy rates in the city are estimated at approximately 85%.
Hanoi is estimated to have received 672,900 tourists, a 5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, nearly 59,000 are international visitors, a 35.8% increase; domestic tourists are estimated to have seen a slight increase of 3.6%, with a tendency towards vacationing in suburban areas. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 2,180 billion VND, an 8.3% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
In Khanh Hoa province , it is estimated that over 578,000 tourists visited during the four-day September 2nd holiday. Revenue from tourism is estimated at 756.3 billion VND, an increase of 14.2%. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Khanh Hoa attracts a large number of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces. Besides road travel, the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang and Da Nang - Nha Trang railway routes are also popular with tourists.
According to statistics from Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the total number of visitors and overnight stays in the area is estimated at over 565,000, an increase of 6.61% compared to 2023, with overnight stays increasing by 17.42%. Total tourism revenue during the four-day September 2nd holiday reached 348.218 billion VND, an increase of 16.65% compared to 2023. Vung Tau City alone welcomed over 276,000 visitors.
Hotel occupancy rates across the province over the four days reached approximately 80-85%. According to the provincial Department of Tourism, the number of tourists visiting the province was not high due to the rain during the holiday.
During the four-day holiday, Quang Ninh received a total of 455,000 tourists, reaching 119% compared to the same period in 2023 (the number of tourists during the four-day National Day holiday in 2023 was 382,000). The peak tourist season was from August 31st to September 2nd. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 1,033 billion VND, reaching 131% compared to the same period in 2023.
The total number of overnight visitors reached 174,200, achieving 116% compared to the same period in 2023 (150,700 in the same period of 2023), accounting for 37% of the total visitors to Quang Ninh.
From August 31st to September 2nd, the occupancy rate for 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodations reached approximately 80-90%, while other accommodations achieved 45-55%. Specifically on August 31st and September 1st, some localities such as Co To, Mong Cai, Quan Lan, Minh Chau, and Ha Long City recorded occupancy rates of 80-90%.
According to Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, during the four-day National Day holiday, the province welcomed 395,700 visitors, an increase of 20.4% compared to the same holiday period in 2023. Of these, 140,500 were overnight guests. Total tourism revenue reached 870.5 billion VND, an increase of 31.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
Hotel occupancy rates across the province ranged from 35% to 37%. The Pu Luong tourist area, in particular, achieved 100% occupancy. Sam Son City led the province in visitor numbers with 198,200 visitors.
Previously, according to data from the National Tourism Administration, during the April 30th - May 1st holiday, Thanh Hoa was the province that received the most tourists nationwide with over 1.5 million visitors - a record number, an increase of more than 27% compared to the same period. The total tourism revenue of the locality during the holiday reached over 3,800 billion VND, an increase of nearly 33% compared to 2023.
Binh Thuan province estimated it welcomed 385,000 visitors, a 3.3-fold increase compared to the 2023 National Day holiday, generating revenue of approximately 510 billion VND. During the holiday, the peak period for visitors was from August 31st to September 2nd, with average room occupancy rates ranging from 80-95%, and many establishments reaching 100% occupancy.
Most domestic tourists visiting Binh Thuan come from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong, and are concentrated in the areas of Ham Tien, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Tuy Phong, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi, and Phu Quy.
Ninh Binh is expected to welcome 374,000 visitors, a 67.9% increase compared to the 2023 holiday period, including an estimated 74,000 international visitors, a 276.7% increase compared to 2023. Revenue is estimated at nearly 650 billion VND, a 182.6% increase compared to 2023.
The average room occupancy rate was 85-90%, with 100% occupancy on the evenings of August 31st and September 1st.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of tourists visiting Da Nang reached nearly 308,000, an increase of 21.2% compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, domestic tourists accounted for approximately 217,000, an increase of 23.8% compared to the same period in 2023; and international tourists accounted for approximately 91,000, an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
Total tourism revenue reached over 1,200 billion VND, an increase of 33.8% compared to the same period in 2023.
According to the head of Da Nang's Department of Tourism, this year, the number of visitors arriving by rail and road using their own means of transport, especially from neighboring localities such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai, has increased significantly.
An Giang welcomed over 210,000 tourists, the same number as in the same period of 2023.
Binh Dinh province is estimated to have received 204,044 visitors, a 13% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue from tourism is estimated at 555 billion VND, a 0.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Lao Cai province welcomed approximately 196,500 visitors during the holiday period, with Sa Pa town accounting for about 122,770 visitors, a 33.2% increase compared to the 2023 holiday period. Total revenue from tourism in Lao Cai province during the four-day holiday reached approximately 606 billion VND.
Over the four days, the number of visitors to Quang Nam is estimated at 193,000 (a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2023). The average occupancy rate for accommodation reached 55-60%, while 4- and 5-star hotels reached 80-90%.
According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, the province expects to welcome over 159,000 visitors, with an average occupancy rate of 35%. Phu Quoc City is expected to welcome 75,591 visitors, an increase of over 20% compared to the same period in 2023, including over 15,500 international visitors, an increase of over 170% compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 347 billion VND.
The number of tourists visiting and staying in Da Lat City is estimated at around 100,000, an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, international tourists are estimated at 7,200, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2023; domestic tourists are estimated at 92,800 (with an estimated 68,200 overnight stays), an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The total number of tourists visiting Ninh Thuan during the September 2nd holiday is estimated at 75,000, an increase of 15.4% compared to the same period last year, with estimated revenue of 90 billion VND.
The total number of tourists visiting Phu Yen reached 46,500, a 10% increase compared to the same period last year. Of these, the number of international tourists doubled compared to the same period last year. Revenue from tourism activities reached 93 billion VND, a 46% increase compared to the same period last year.
