On the morning of October 18, General Department II held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Defense Intelligence tradition day (October 25, 1945 - October 25, 2025) and receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal.
General Secretary To Lam , Secretary of the Central Military Commission, attended and delivered a speech directing the ceremony.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tran Cong Chinh, Director General of General Department II, reviewed the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam Defense Intelligence Sector.

Born in the early days of the revolutionary government, growing up with the growth of the Army and the development of the country, Vietnam's Defense Intelligence has always been absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the Army, relying on the people and staying close to the enemy, continuously maturing, progressing, and excellently completing all assigned tasks.

In recognition of these great achievements and contributions, the Party and State have awarded the National Defense Intelligence Service many noble awards such as: Gold Star Order, 2 Ho Chi Minh Orders, First Class Independence Order, First Class Military Exploit Order, 2 times conferred the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces,...
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its tradition, the National Defense Intelligence Service was honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal for the third time from the Party and State.
