According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, within the framework of the official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the afternoon of October 28 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, visited the tomb of proletarian leader Karl Marx at Highgate Cemetery in London.

Philosopher Karl Marx was born in 1818 in Germany and settled in London in 1849 until his death in 1883.

He is an outstanding leader of the working class, working people, oppressed peoples and progressive humanity in general.

Karl Marx's grave is located in Highgate Cemetery, a stopover of both historical and ideological significance and a prominent tourist attraction in the British capital.

Initially, in 1883, the thinker Karl Marx was buried in a modest spot in this cemetery. Then, in 1954, his remains and those of his family members were moved to the same area and placed under a larger memorial, which was inaugurated in 1956.

The monument, designed by sculptor Laurence Bradshaw, features a bronze bust of Karl Marx on a marble pedestal engraved with the famous slogan "Workers of all lands, unite!" - taken from his work The Communist Manifesto.

The current location of the tomb has been ranked "Grade I listed" - the highest level for heritage sites of outstanding architectural and historical value in England.

The tomb is not only a resting place but also has a strong symbolic meaning. Many Marxists, scholars and international tourists come here as a spiritual pilgrimage to remember the author of ideas that have had a profound influence on world politics and society.

Highgate Cemetery is located on a hill in the suburbs of North London, giving visitors a sense of peace and tranquility.

It is also the resting place of many famous people such as physicist Michael Faraday, the parents of writer Charles Dickens, philosopher, sociologist, political scientist Herbert Spencer, and writer George Eliot.

The cemetery is open to visitors at specific times and regulations. When coming to Highgate Cemetery, visitors can go to the East Side to clearly see Karl Marx's tomb, standing out in the quiet, green space./.
