Consul General of Vietnam in Chongqing Bui Nguyen Long presents Letter of Credence to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese Consulate General in Chongqing to successfully complete its tasks.

Consul General Bui Nguyen Long and Deputy Director of the Consular Department Vu Duc Dan discussed Vietnam-China relations.

On May 20, at the headquarters of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Vietnamese Consul General in Chongqing Bui Nguyen Long met with Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vu Duc Dan, handing over the consular credentials of the Vietnamese Foreign Minister to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, Consul General Bui Nguyen Long expressed his honor to assume the position of the first Consul General of Vietnam in Chongqing city.

In the context of the good development of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China, the senior leaders of the two Parties and the two countries attach great importance to and have reached many common perceptions on the establishment of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Chongqing. Consul General Bui Nguyen Long requested the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to create favorable conditions for the opening and operation of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Chongqing in the coming time.

Consul General Bui Nguyen Long presented the Consular Credentials of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Vu Duc Dan, warmly congratulated Comrade Bui Nguyen Long on his appointment as Consul General of Vietnam in Chongqing, and emphasized that Chongqing is the largest city in China and has an important position; the key point of the railway transport route from China to Europe; and the establishment of the Consulate General in Chongqing demonstrates the strategic vision of the Vietnamese Government .

Mr. Vu Duc Dan affirmed that the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese Consulate General in Chongqing to successfully complete its tasks.

Consul General Bui Nguyen Long received the Consular Certificate from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

On behalf of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Director General Vu Duc Dan presented Consul General Bui Nguyen Long with a consular certificate, with the consular area including Chongqing city and Sichuan province, marking that the Vietnamese Consulate General in Chongqing has basically completed the necessary procedures to prepare for operation.
