Recently, a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City to present sashes and announce the Top 60 contestants competing in Miss Vietnam 2024 attracted significant attention from the beauty pageant community.

Miss Vietnam 2024 is different; the new Miss receives special privileges.
According to the head of the organizing committee, the top 60 contestants will advance to the final night of Miss Vietnam 2024. The most unique aspect of the competition is the selection of 60 contestants representing each province and city. "The competition aims to create a vibrant and exciting playground for young women. We want the first-ever Miss Vietnam competition to be different. Different, but also attractive, bringing value to the contestants and value to the community."
Many girls from one province qualified for the Miss Vietnam National Finals, but only one was allowed to be selected due to the format. The organizers hope that next year, each province will have at least one representative participating.
"We hope that each girl participating in Miss Vietnam will promote the tourism , culture, and people of the province where she was born and raised. If there are 63 representatives from all provinces and cities, it will be a very good channel for promoting local tourism development in the context of provinces and cities nationwide striving to promote their local culture and people," Ms. Pham Kim Dung further shared.

The winner of Miss Vietnam will represent Vietnam at the Miss International competition. Regarding the privileges of the winner of Miss Vietnam 2024, the organizers revealed: "Miss Vietnam will have the opportunity to travel to five countries to promote Vietnamese tourism and the local area that the new Miss Vietnam previously represented."
We believe that the efforts dedicated to Miss Vietnam contribute to creating a more vibrant atmosphere for beauty pageants in Vietnam and an environment for young women to strive for perfection in both appearance and character.”
Sharing details about the schedule, activities, and official competition segments of Miss Vietnam 2024, director Hoang Nhat Nam said that the National Costume segment is highly emphasized to showcase the national spirit. "The competition set a new record with 73 national costumes showcased on stage. This brings out the spirit and essence of the Vietnamese nation," director Hoang Nhat Nam shared.
Furthermore, Miss Vietnam has a unique feature: the organizers use provincial/city codes as contestant numbers. “We hope that the contestant's name, province/city, and contestant number will evoke memories of license plates and the places they come from. I believe this is a way for us to remember and love Vietnam even more. For the five major centrally-governed cities with more than one contestant, the contestant numbers are given an additional number in sequential order (1, 2, 3),” explained a representative of the Miss Vietnam National Organizing Committee.
In the talent segment of the competition, contestants will showcase their local skills in domestic arts, cooking, and flower arranging.

During the Miss Vietnam National final night, the crowned beauty wore a traditional ao dai dress and a special phoenix robe designed by Tran Thien Khanh, aiming to further accentuate the femininity, power, and splendor of the winner.
Prior to that, the Top 60 will compete to select the Top 30; then the Top 15, Top 9, and Top 3 finalists. After the second runner-up is announced, the Top 2 will proceed to the Q&A round to select the first runner-up and the new Miss Vietnam.
