It is predicted that the new Toyota Fortuner 2026 will be inspired by Tacoma and Land Cruiser Prado, the 7-seat SUV is expected to have a sharp appearance, modern interior like Land Cruiser Prado and has many things in common with the new generation Hilux - whose cabin details were leaked not long ago.

The exterior of the 2026 Fortuner is expected to change dramatically with sharp LED lights integrated with C-shaped daytime running lights, black-finished grille and wheels, embossed hood and triangular front bumper. The new Fortuner is also expected to have a high-performance GR version with operational upgrades.

In terms of interior, this SUV will likely share the cockpit design with the Toyota Hilux 2025, the pickup truck whose images were recently leaked. The dashboard is in the style of the new Land Cruiser Prado, with a more modern and neat hierarchical layout.
Notable equipment includes two 12.3-inch screens: a digital dashboard behind the steering wheel and a central touchscreen entertainment screen. Below are redesigned air-conditioning vents. The gearshift area and storage space have also been renewed, aiming for convenience.

Although the interior has been significantly upgraded, the overall design is still "evolutionary" rather than a complete change. The new Fortuner is developed on the new generation IMV separate chassis platform, and still uses 2.4L or 2.8L diesel engine options, combined with 48V mild-hybrid technology - similar to the version recently launched in some Asian markets.

The entertainment system is expected to use the same software platform as the Land Cruiser Prado, supporting faster connectivity and response. Toyota has not confirmed the official launch date, but the Fortuner 2026 will likely be announced globally in 2025, after the new generation Hilux is launched.
