After the pilot period ends, the City People's Committee will be responsible for evaluating the pilot and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

From 2021, Hai Duong City will pilot the organization and arrangement of parking spaces in the city center. In 2021 and 2022, the city will organize paid parking on 5 streets: Bach Dang, Ho Chi Minh Boulevard, Hoang Hoa Tham, Hong Quang, Thanh Nien and Doc Lap Square. In 2023, due to the small number of vehicles parked on Thanh Nien Street, parking spaces will no longer be arranged on this street. Parking spots are painted with lines indicating parking locations, signs and directional signs are installed with a total of 362 parking spaces. The parking fee is applied according to the regulations of 10,000 VND/vehicle/time, monthly ticket is 250,000 VND/vehicle. Revenue from the use of roadsides and sidewalks for parking up to the end of December 2023 will reach more than 2.7 billion VND.

According to the assessment of Hai Duong City People's Committee, the pilot project of using roads and sidewalks to organize paid parking initially ensures urban order and limits illegal parking... However, the implementation has encountered some difficulties and limitations in arranging parking forces and funding for maintenance.
