Hai Phong City has a street named after the late General Secretary Do Muoi.

On the morning of May 13, Hai Phong City held a ceremony to name a road after the late General Secretary Do Muoi. The event was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day, the Red Flamboyant Festival - 2025 and to receive the title of "Heroic City".

Throughout his life of revolutionary activities, General Secretary Do Muoi was not only a staunch communist soldier, an excellent leader with many great contributions affirmed in the process of Vietnam's revolution, but also a great example of exemplary communist personality.

He participated in revolutionary activities and matured very early. In March 1955, the Party Central Committee appointed Comrade Do Muoi to directly serve as Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee. He directly directed the takeover of the 300-day military assembly area in Hai Phong, creating a historic milestone. Especially when the 320th Division entered to take over the city on this day, May 13, exactly 70 years ago.

Under the flexible direction of Comrade Do Muoi, small-scale industry, agriculture and the Port were quickly restored. Comrade Do Muoi paid special attention and directed public utility enterprises such as electricity, water, railways, post offices and sanitation to ensure normal operations to meet the daily needs of the people. Many factories were restored.

Later, despite holding many higher responsibilities, comrade Do Muoi still had a special affection for Hai Phong. Every time he visited and worked with the Port City, he left many strong impressions in the hearts of cadres, soldiers and people of Hai Phong.

To pay tribute to the great contributions of the late General Secretary Do Muoi, Hai Phong City has named a major road in the new urban area of ​​Bac Song Cam - the Political and Administrative Center of Hai Phong City after him. This route was invested in 2019, part of the overall project to build technical infrastructure for the new urban area of ​​Bac Song Cam, with a length of about 1.6km from Hoang Van Thu bridge to the end of the project, the road width is 66m; with 10 lanes, sidewalks, trees and a synchronous and modern technical infrastructure system. It is the main axis of the area, connecting the old urban core of Hai Phong with the new Political and Administrative Center of the city.
