In order to ensure traffic order and safety for the organization of International Yoga Day on Le Loi Street, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has announced a ban on all vehicles on the road reserved for cars on Le Loi Street (from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street to Pasteur Street) from 8:00 a.m. on June 20 to 2:00 p.m. on June 21.
Vehicles traveling on the mixed-traffic lanes are subject to traffic control by authorities. The Department of Transportation reminds drivers to obey traffic signals and road signs.

Previously, the Embassy of India in Hanoi coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hanoi People's Committee to organize the International Yoga Day event at the Martyrs Monument near Ba Kieu Temple, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi at 6:00 a.m. on June 18 ahead of the 9th International Yoga Day in 2023. More than 1,000 yoga practitioners and enthusiasts attended the event.
The United Nations General Assembly in December 2014 declared June 21 as International Yoga Day (IDY) to promote healthy lifestyles worldwide .
