Ho Chi Minh City strengthens the Steering Committee on propaganda and introduction of works on studying and following Uncle Ho

The Steering Committee is responsible for inspecting and urging localities and units to promote propaganda and introduce literary and artistic works in the city; annually, reporting the implementation status to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.

Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc and Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue congratulated the authors who won the awards for writing and promoting learning and following Uncle Ho, phase 1, period 2020-2025.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just issued Decision 1868 on perfecting the Steering Committee of the City Party Committee on promoting propaganda and introducing literary and artistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in Ho Chi Minh City, period 2021-2025 (called the Steering Committee of the City Party Committee).

This Decision replaces Decision 437 dated August 2, 2021 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on establishing the Steering Committee of the City Party Committee on promoting propaganda and introducing literary and artistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2021 - 2025.

The Steering Committee has 13 members. Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, is the Head of the Committee. Comrade Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, is the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee.

Members of the Steering Committee of the City Party Committee include: Tran Kim Yen, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Tran The Thuan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports; Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; Nguyen Tran Phuong Tran, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union; Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training; Nguyen Tho Truyen, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Commission and Bui Anh Tan, Vice Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of the City.

The Steering Committee of the City Party Committee has the following tasks: Annually, develop a detailed plan; consider selecting a number of literary and artistic works with the theme of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" and works that have won the Award "Composing and promoting literary and artistic works, journalism with the theme of Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" to direct localities and art units to promote propaganda and introduction to cadres, party members and people, organizations and foreign individuals living and working in the city.

At the same time, inspect and urge localities and units to promote propaganda and introduce literary and artistic works in the city; annually report the implementation status to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.
