The Government Office has just issued a document conveying the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha agreeing to assign the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as the competent authority to implement the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project.

Previously, the Ministry of Finance had a document requesting the assignment of the competent authority to implement the Hieu Liem 2 bridge construction project to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to accept the opinions of the Ministry of Finance and implement the investment of Hieu Liem 2 Bridge in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and progress.

The Hieu Liem 2 Bridge construction project has a total route length of nearly 1.5km, including the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge across the Be River, 150m long, the approach road on the Binh Duong side (formerly) now Ho Chi Minh City, more than 1.2km long, the approach road on the Dong Nai side is about 100m long.

The project starts at the entrance to Hieu Liem ferry, Hieu Liem commune, Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province (formerly), now Ho Chi Minh City; the end point intersects with Hieu Liem street, Dong Nai.

The project is divided into 2 investment phases, each phase will build a bridge unit 2m apart with a scale of 2 mixed lanes. In phase 1, the project is proposed to build a bridge unit with a cross-section of 14m. The project has a total estimated investment of nearly 362 billion VND.
