After two days of work, the 6th session of the 10th term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council concluded on the afternoon of December 10th.
In his closing remarks, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh informed that the session had passed many important resolutions covering key areas such as socio-economic development, finance and budget, public investment, decentralization of revenue sources and expenditure responsibilities between the city budget and commune-level budgets, as well as policies on social security and human resource development.

The question-and-answer sessions were organized in an innovative way, directly addressing issues of concern to voters. The questions revolved around topics directly impacting people's lives: the progress of key projects; the results of implementing Resolution 98/2023 of the National Assembly ; the development of social housing; reducing traffic congestion; ensuring food safety; improving the living environment, etc.
During the questioning session, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council requested the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and relevant agencies to focus on overcoming the shortcomings and limitations that have been pointed out; ensuring the spirit of "saying and doing go hand in hand," and promptly transforming resolutions and commitments made in the council into concrete results in practice.
Notably, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Nguyen Van Duoc, clarified issues of concern to the delegates, emphasizing solutions to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of state management in each field. He also identified five key tasks and solutions to strive for, aiming to achieve and surpass the socio-economic development plan for the coming year, laying the foundation for the next five years.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council shared that the resolutions passed at the session are an important legal basis for Ho Chi Minh City to continue affirming its role as the leading engine and driving force for development in the Southeast region and the whole country; at the same time, creating conditions to gradually resolve pressing social issues and voter recommendations.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council requested the City People's Committee, departments, agencies, and local authorities to urgently develop specific plans and action programs to implement the resolutions that have been passed; clearly defining the progress, resources, and responsibilities of each agency and its head.
This includes focusing on the effective implementation of Resolution 98/2023; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital; significantly improving the investment and business environment; speeding up digital transformation; better caring for social security, housing, employment, income, and people's welfare; and addressing bottlenecks in infrastructure, transportation, and the environment.

The comrade also requested that the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, the committees, the delegate groups, and each individual City People's Council delegate continue to improve the quality of their supervisory activities; promptly identify and resolve difficulties in the process of implementing resolutions.
"Each member of the People's Council must truly be a reliable bridge between voters and the government, listening to and fully reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people, while actively mobilizing people to stand alongside the city in overcoming difficulties and challenges," the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council noted.

Commemorative medals for contributions to the construction and development of Ho Chi Minh City were awarded to 50 individuals.
At the meeting, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Building and Developing Ho Chi Minh City to 50 individuals who were former delegates of the 9th term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council in previous terms, in recognition of their contributions to the city's construction and development.
