Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen chaired the 31st meeting of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Executive Committee, 11th term.

At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen cited shortcomings in tree management, including the case of the previous urban railway construction (Metro project) due to lack of planning, leading to unsynchronized implementation, leading to clearance and compensation, including many old trees that had to be cut down.

However, in the coming time, when it comes to cutting down trees in Ho Chi Minh City for construction/projects, the city authorities will discuss very carefully. "We cannot just massively cut down trees and leave them there without construction. We have to do it step by step, only when it is necessary to cut them down, that is, we have to maintain them to the last possible level," the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee emphasized.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that the lesson learned during the implementation of projects/works is to carry out propaganda, propose plans and implementation measures so that people can understand, support and share with Ho Chi Minh City.

Because, if the communication is good, people will sympathize, support and will agree with the implementation process of pilot projects that are being effectively implemented by Ho Chi Minh City.
