On November 10, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, the 2024 National VocationalEducation Teachers' Teaching Conference officially closed after nearly a week. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs from November 4-10, at the Vietnam - Korea Quang Ninh College and the Vietnam Coal - Minerals College, Hoanh Bo Training Branch, Hoanh Bo Ward, Ha Long City.
At the end of the Teaching Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded First, Second, and Third prizes to 150 teachers with the best achievements; 6 excellent groups were awarded First, Second, and Third prizes for the whole group. 65 teachers were awarded secondary prizes such as: Most effective use of self-made equipment, most effective application of information technology, most effective digital transformation and Certificates of Merit from the Central Youth Union. The Organizing Committee also awarded 4 groups with outstanding achievements in organizing the Teaching Conference.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, this is the Teaching Conference with the largest number of teachers participating, with 462 teachers participating in lectures in 25 vocational sub-committees, coming from 68 ministries, branches and localities nationwide. Most of the lectures applied information technology in exploiting, linking learning materials, and interacting with learners, clearly demonstrating efforts to adapt to the digital transformation process in vocational education. More than 90% of the total number of lectures participating in the Conference were in the direction of practical and integrated lectures, accounting for the largest proportion ever, meeting the requirements of the labor market with professional qualifications and vocational skills. Many lectures have innovations and creativity in practical and integrated teaching methods; related to new occupations, new skills, green skills. The number of occupations and fields is diversified with 116 occupations and fields, including many popular occupations, with large human resource needs, suitable for current social development.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung said that many new points of this year's Teaching Conference have been boldly applied by members of the Organizing Committee to create maximum objectivity in terms of expertise, as well as to organize a series of impressive side events. Through this Teaching Conference, teachers have changed their pedagogical thinking and teaching methods; many teachers are typical examples of innovation, creativity, adaptation and integration in terms of expertise and teaching methods. Those efforts, along with the enthusiasm and passion of teachers who cherish and care for every second and minute of teaching, are vivid proof of the consensus and determination of the teaching staff who always stand side by side with the entire vocational education system in the cause of national development. The Deputy Minister believes that teachers will continue to light the flame of faith, be dedicated to their profession, spread enthusiasm, share good practices and valuable experiences, always innovate and be creative; apply technology and innovate in teaching.
Mr. Truong Anh Dung, Director General of the General Department of Vocational Education, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, shared that the results of vocational education have significantly contributed to forming a skilled workforce, building a modern and strong working class and farmers to serve socio -economic development, the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. To improve the quality of vocational education, the first thing to do is to standardize the quality of lecturers and teachers in training institutions. This is considered a central and key issue for the work of vocational development innovation in the new context.
The National Vocational Education Teachers' Conference is organized by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs every 3 years. Not only achieving high results at the Conference, valuable experiences and creative teaching methods, excellent lectures continue to be promoted, replicated, creating a ripple effect in training work at vocational education institutions nationwide, contributing to the successful implementation of the policy of "Fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training". Through this, it helps leaders at all levels from the Central to the grassroots level have the conditions to review and properly assess the quality of the team of vocational education teachers, thereby orienting and organizing the implementation of more appropriate solutions in the work of training and fostering teachers, contributing to improving the quality of human resource training, meeting the increasingly high requirements of the labor market./.
