(CLO) On the afternoon of October 31, at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the Award Ceremony for "Digital media works contributing to improving access to social security in the digital economy " took place.
At the Award Ceremony, a talk show called “Digital Media - Difficulties and Challenges for Non-Professional Writers” was held. This event is part of the 2024 “Silent Contributions” Communication Program co-organized by Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, ActionAid International in Vietnam, and the Vietnam Social Security Program and Project Support Fund (AFV).
Speaking at the event, Editor-in-Chief of Economic and Urban Newspaper Nguyen Thanh Loi said that in 2024, in addition to annual activities, the Program will open many activities for the first time such as: opening a Legal Advice column on social security on the Law and Society website; providing direct legal advice to ethnic minorities in Khanh Thuong commune, Ba Vi district; especially, opening a series of events aimed at students of the Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Accordingly, in April, the Organizing Committee opened a training course on social security-themed Podcast production for 60 students of the Academy. With the knowledge and skills equipped in the training course, students of the Academy of Journalism and Communication actively submitted their works to participate in the voting for "Digital media works contributing to improving access to social security in the digital economy".
In just 2 months (August 15 - October 15, 2024), since the launch date, 26 works by authors and groups of authors have been submitted to the voting. The organizing committee has selected 7 works, the best of which are works that raise issues, solve stories and are topical.
Through evaluation, the works are diverse, lively, modern, have quality content and have profound perspectives on social security issues of life. In particular, the awarded works are all comprehensive in both content and form.
Also at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, said that the awards for outstanding works this time are a recognition of the efforts of the authors and groups of authors whose Podscat products meet requirements, ensure quality, have good content and have invested in the form of expression.

"I hope that the results of today's training efforts, combined with the dedicated support for the future generation of responsible journalists from press agencies, organizations and accompanying units - future journalists and communicators will have more energy in studying, training and striving so that they will soon become journalists and communicators with solid capacity, expertise, dedication, vision and talent in the future", Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son emphasized.
Also at the event, there was a talk show “Digital Media - Difficulties and Challenges for Non-Professional Authors”, where delegates shared with students of the Academy of Journalism and Communication about digital media and digital media works that contribute to improving access to social security in the digital economy.
