Over 40,000 households benefit from poverty reduction programs for the period 2021 - 2025 - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

During the period 2021-2025, the province implemented a comprehensive set of poverty reduction policies with a total investment of 2,950 billion VND, focusing on infrastructure investment, production support, and social welfare in 7 districts (before merger). These programs have directly benefited over 40,000 households.

Of which, 216 infrastructure projects have been invested, including: transportation, electricity, schools, healthcare , culture, sports, irrigation and domestic water...; 170 projects serving people's lives and production have been maintained and repaired. 500 projects supporting production development and 6 projects to replicate sustainable poverty reduction models have been implemented.

The provincial monitoring team inspected the household that received support for breeding female buffaloes in Keo Sy hamlet, Tong Cot commune.

Provide preferential loans to over 30,000 poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households and students; issue over 300,000 health insurance cards each year to vulnerable groups and ethnic minorities; issue over 10,000 health insurance cards to social protection beneficiaries. Support electricity bills for over 20,000 households each year and support 236,908 people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for over 19,000 poor and near-poor households.

The full and timely implementation of social security policies has contributed to improving the lives of the people, especially those in disadvantaged areas. The poverty rate throughout the province decreased by 21.22% during the 2021-2025 period, averaging a decrease of 4.24% per year.
