(Chinhphu.vn) - "AI is only truly valuable when deployed responsibly and humanely," FPT General Director Nguyen Van Khoa emphasized this message and called on CEOs to approach AI in the direction of enhancing humans, not replacing them.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEOof FPT, shared this at the Leaders Forum 2025.

Recently, at the Leaders Forum 2025 held in Ho Chi Minh City, experts posed a timely question: "Will AI cause us to lose our human core or become a leverage for leaders to connect more deeply with people?"

With nearly 800 leaders, CEOs, and managers in attendance, the Forum opened up a rare space for dialogue, where leaders, CEOs, and managers could directly listen, debate, and reflect on themselves.

Speaking at a panel discussion from the perspective of a company that has appointed an AI Director since 2019 and organizes quarterly AI conferences to connect top leaders and update progress on AI adoption in each unit, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, affirmed that AI is not just technology but the breath of life. Integrating AI into every aspect of work is to enhance human capabilities, not to replace humans.

According to the CEO of FPT, the company has deployed 1,000 AI Agents serving 84,000 employees; from CodeVista – a programmer assistant, AI Mentor – a personalized learning platform, to myFPT, FPT Chat, FPT Place – a human resource management and digital communication ecosystem... These are concrete examples of FPT's "AI into daily life" strategy.

Furthermore, FPT is building a "comprehensive AI ecosystem" designed around three main objectives: "Profit - Productivity - Innovation". In this framework, "profit" refers to increasing earnings; "productivity" refers to improving labor productivity; and "innovation" refers to fostering innovation.

The corporation also aims for 20% of innovative ideas to be directly related to AI through the iKhiến program – an internal innovation platform that has recorded 2,500-3,000 initiatives annually.

In particular, in 2024, the iKhiến initiative helped increase labor productivity by nearly 30%, generating profits of over 865 billion VND, of which AI contributed approximately 23%, equivalent to 200 billion VND.

Culture is a strategic filter in digital transformation.

According to the CEO of FPT, if you want to move quickly, use technology; if you want to go far, use culture. Technology is a tool, but culture is the identity. This is also FPT's commitment to long-term investment in people.

In 2024 alone, the Group implemented an AI outreach program for tens of thousands of employees, while also designing in-depth courses for leaders and middle managers. The goal is to provide AI training to 100% of its staff, helping them to be proactive, confident, and avoid the fear of being replaced in the AI ​​era.

A concrete example of the "hi-touch" approach is the story of FPT's transition to using three new work platforms: the myFPT Next application, the internal chat application - FPT Chat, and the internal social network - FPT Place.

The myFPT Next application acts as a "super app," integrating key features centered around five core values: communication; performance management; recognition; personal development; and welfare. With this "super app," member units of the Group can build and integrate their own specific "mini-apps" into the common platform, enhancing internal connectivity and optimizing the user experience. Simultaneously, the FPT Chat internal chat platform and FPT Place internal social network replace Meta's Workplace and WorkChat, which have ceased operation.

Initially, employees were skeptical, but by prioritizing practical value, incorporating the most important features for employees into the myFPT Next application such as salary, bonus, and insurance information, developing a direct task assignment feature on FPT Chat, and having leaders take the lead in trying it out, the usage rate has now reached 87.6% after only two months.

In summary, the FPT CEO emphasized that FPT's approach to AI is responsible and humane, placing people at the center so that technology becomes a tool to enhance rather than replace.

With this direction, the CEO of FPT urged Vietnamese business leaders to view AI as an opportunity to reinvent not only products, but also mindsets, culture, working methods, and human resource development.
