Trinh Minh Hien tells stories of Hanoi through violin, monochord, erhu and Xam singing

(Dan Tri) - "I don't want to fly alone on my creative journey, but want to fly with like-minded souls," violinist Trinh Minh Hien shared about his musical journey and love for Hanoi.

As a violinist, Trinh Minh Hien always finds his own path, where each melody resonates not only with technique but also with soul and love for music .

Sharing at the press conference to launch the Hanoi Hanoi - The Winter music art project on November 5, violinist Trinh Minh Hien said: "I do not want to fly alone on the creative journey, but want to fly with like-minded souls", violinist Trinh Minh Hien shared.

For her, music is not only a means of expressing emotions but also a bridge connecting people who share the same love for Hanoi - a place that preserves memories and at the same time nurtures creative inspiration.

Love for Hanoi, therefore, is not only a source of inspiration but also a thread that connects all works and all emotions in Trinh Minh Hien's music.

The artist confided: “In the era of giant concerts, I want the audience to come not to watch, but to feel.” According to her, the stage is not just a place for performance but a “refuge for souls who love beauty”, where music not only resonates, but also lives with the rhythm of the city.

From that love, the project Hanoi Hanoi - The Winter was born. This is not just a concert, but an artistic journey telling stories about the city through emotions, where traditional sounds blend with contemporary spirit to make Hanoi appear both old, new and profound.

In the program, the female artist does not recreate the original folk music but uses it as a source of inspiration to dialogue with the present. Her music interweaves violin, cello, piano and traditional instruments such as monochord, two-stringed fiddle, zither, folk drum... creating a sound picture where tradition meets the world .

Besides director Dang Xuan Truong - who "breathed life" into Trinh Minh Hien's Phuong Linh stage in 2023, the program also has the accompaniment of painter Le Thanh Son, bringing a space combining music and painting.

According to Trinh Minh Hien, this combination will create a multi-layered emotional stage, where sound and color tell stories about Hanoi.

Musician and violinist Trinh Minh Hien was born in 1980 in Hanoi. In 2003, she graduated as valedictorian of the University, Strings Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Before the album Hanoi Hanoi, she released the album Phuong Linh , made many quality MVs and performed in Truong Sa.

Phuong Linh was also introduced to international audiences in a series of shows in Italy and won the Outstanding Program Award of the Vietnam Musicians Association in 2023.
