This year, Trong Tan performed on New Year's Eve in Ba Ria - Vung Tau so he returned home early to clean and decorate the house.

On the afternoon of the 26th of the lunar month, Trong Tan and his family finished cleaning the altar and prepared the fruit tray and candies. A few days before, he and his family wrapped 146 banh chung. He said he loves the bustling atmosphere and the scene of people gathering together every spring.

His two children - Tan Dat, 21 years old and Thao Nguyen, 19 years old - prepare for the new year with their father. "I want to preserve this cultural feature so that they will love the traditional Tet holiday," he said. According to Trong Tan, his daughter loves to wrap banh chung.

Trong Tan built his home in Thanh Hoa 10 years ago, which is the living space of his extended family. He designed an open space, surrounded by gardens. The singer invested little in interior design but planted many trees and vegetables. Here, his parents raised chickens and fish, and took care of the garden. Back in his hometown, Trong Tan took the opportunity to relax by catching fish, feeding chickens, collecting eggs, and picking apples.

Although he could not celebrate New Year's Eve with his family, Trong Tan was happy to have time before Tet with his family. The singer said he was used to singing on the 30th of Tet. He once said he was afraid of performing in faraway cities like Da Nang and Nha Trang, having to celebrate the New Year alone. "At those times, I was alone in my hotel room, feeling that New Year's Eve had no meaning because there was no one by my side. I tossed and turned, just waiting for morning to come so I could quickly return to my family," Trong Tan said. In return, the singer was happy because he was loved by the audience, and someone gave him lucky money right on stage.

After the Tet holiday of At Ty 2025, Trong Tan started performing in Vinh on February 1 (the 3rd day of the lunar calendar), then returned to Thanh Hoa and returned to Hanoi the day after. On the occasion of the New Year, he cherished completing the album for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) along with many other music projects.
