The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics emphasized that this is a priceless collection of documents, not only for archival purposes and reference purposes, but also to show gratitude to previous generations of cadres. If not digitized in time, over time, the documents will be damaged, infested with termites, and difficult to keep intact.
Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung especially noted that if not done carefully and digitized accurately, we will lose vivid evidence of the dedication of previous cadres.

During the inspection, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung emphasized many specific requirements: The digitization process must be absolutely accurate, without mistakes; the selection of digitized documents must be selective, prioritizing valuable documents that directly serve the digital transformation of Party and political work, avoiding dispersion and waste. Internal documents that are simple or already exist in soft copy must be utilized; special attention must be paid to ensuring information security and confidentiality.

The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics also pointed out that the digitization process does not stop at scanning documents, but more importantly, it is "extracting" information and building an exploitable database. Therefore, in addition to the technical team, it is necessary to have the participation of professional forces from departments, offices, and professional units to accurately determine information fields, ensuring that the digitized data is truly useful, serving leadership and command work.
Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung also noted the management of original documents after digitization: Must arrange and return to the original location, ensuring the search work when necessary; at the same time, research the roadmap for declassification, reduce storage load for expired records according to regulations.

Through the actual inspection, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung praised the sense of responsibility of the officers and employees directly involved in digitization. He pointed out that digitizing documents is both an urgent and long-term task; data is the "blood" that nourishes the digital ecosystem. Therefore, digitizing documents must be one step ahead, laying the foundation for deploying high-tech applications later.
Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested agencies and units to proactively make the most of the existing infrastructure of the Ministry of National Defense, and at the same time coordinate closely to avoid duplication and waste. This is an important step towards streamlining the apparatus, modernizing management, contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Army.
