The Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha organizes the Buddha's Birthday Celebration

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the Ethnic, Religious and Overseas Vietnamese Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, authorized by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, attended the Buddha's Birthday Ceremony.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh congratulated the success of the United Nations Vesak Festival 2025, which has contributed to affirming the policy of respecting religious freedom of our Party and State; affirming the role, position, prestige and noble responsibility of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha towards international Buddhism.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh also respectfully thanked and praised the positive contributions of the Church, the Venerable and the Church leaders in promoting the fine traditions of Buddhism, strengthening the great solidarity bloc, as well as mobilizing monks, nuns and Buddhists to well implement the policies and laws of the Party, the State and the action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Typical are the contributions of Buddhism in participating in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity; developing preschooleducation , medical examination and treatment for the poor, protecting the environment and preventing and responding to climate change...

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh hopes that the Venerables and leaders of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, along with all monks, nuns and Buddhist followers, will always unite and stick together in the great national solidarity bloc; continue to preserve and promote the fine traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism in the new era - the era of national growth.

Along with that, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; mobilize monks, nuns, and Buddhists to participate in building and defending the Fatherland... From there, contribute to consolidating, strengthening, and promoting the strength of great national unity, for a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.

Within the framework of the Buddha's Birthday celebration, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, read the message of the Buddha's Birthday celebration of Buddhist calendar 2569 from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha as well as the meaning of Buddha's Birthday.

The 2025 Vesak Celebration is not only an occasion for every Buddhist to commemorate three events in the life of Buddha Shakyamuni: Birth - Enlightenment - Nirvana, but also a day of global cultural and spiritual convergence, where humanity turns to the universal values ​​of Buddhist wisdom: Compassion, wisdom and peace for today's world .

In the sacred atmosphere of Buddha's birthday, delegates, monks, nuns and Buddhists performed incense offering, praying and bathing the Buddha rituals... with the wish for national peace and prosperity, world peace, happiness for all living beings and kindness for people.
