On December 7, 2025, at C500 Stadium - Security Academy, Hanoi , the closing ceremony of the 2025 UAV Innovation Competition - PV GAS Cup: "Homeland Sky" was held with the third-fourth place match and the final match for the UAV innovation championship.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dinh Tan Hung - Director of the Institute of Space and Underwater Technology (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) said that, in response to the practical needs of developing UAV applications in all aspects of life and rescue and relief work in case of natural disasters, the Institute of Space and Underwater Technology has coordinated with the Vietnam Gas Corporation PVGAS to build and implement the PVGAS 2025 UAV Cup Innovation Contest - the first national-scale competition on UAVs in Vietnam. The contest aims to contribute to building a green, clean and beautiful future by creating a useful and intellectual playground for the young generation and gradually building a team of human resources to master strategic product technology to form a "low-level economy " in the near future in Vietnam.

The contest lasted nearly 3 months, with more than 100 entries. preliminary competition. The teams directly created products, practiced and experienced challenges with direct, transparent and public matches. This is also the desire of the Organizing Committee in sending the message of building a new research culture with the young generation of real research and manufacturing, real challenges will gradually form real products to compete equally.

The representative of the Organizing Committee affirmed that the competition is not only a technological playground but also a place to nurture passion and inspire the aspirations of the young generation of Vietnamese engineers.
As a result, after 2 matches on the closing day, the team of Ton Duc Thang University won the championship with a prize of 200 million VND; the runner-up team, students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, received 100 million VND and the 3rd place team of Lac Hong University received 80 million VND.

The 2025 UAV Innovation Competition – PV GAS Cup is not just a tournament, but has truly become a forum connecting education - business - innovation, opening up career development and research opportunities for young talents.
