The closing ceremony and final match of the 2025 UAV Innovation Competition - PV GAS Cup with the theme "Homeland Sky" took place on December 7 in Hanoi .

After a tense competition journey, the SKYVISION team excellently won the PV GAS 2025 UAV Cup Championship, affirming their bravery, tactics and ability to master UAV technology at a high level.
The highlight of the program was the two most important matches of the season: the third place match between VANLANGUAV (Van Lang University) and LH-TDH (Lac Hong University) and the final match between BK-IAV (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) and SKYVISION (Ton Duc Thang University). The matches brought dramatic UAV performances, demonstrating the teams' superior control techniques, handling capabilities and tactical thinking.
In the end, the SKYVISION team excellently won the PV GAS 2025 UAV Cup Championship, affirming their bravery, tactics and ability to master UAV technology at a high level.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Dinh Tan Hung, Director of the Institute of Space and Underwater Technology Research, emphasized that the competition is not only the first national-scale technology playground for UAVs in Vietnam, but also a practical way to form a force of young engineers with enough courage to master strategic technologies in the future.
More than 100 teams registered to participate shortly after the competition was announced, demonstrating the strong attraction of the UAV field and the desire for innovation of Vietnamese students.
Dr. Dinh Tan Hung said that through the competition scenario of "real research, real challenges, real products", the Organizing Committee hopes to contribute to changing the approach in training and research, encouraging students to directly manufacture, verify and face real situations to create products that are competitive and have long-term application. The experiences at the competition will be an important stepping stone for the teams to "conquer bigger challenges ahead".

UAV Innovation Competition 2025 attracts more than 100 registered teams
According to the organizers, the competition was announced on September 9 and more than 100 teams registered to participate. After the preliminary and group stages, the 28 best teams will enter the final round from December 3, 2025.
Eight teams from seven universities made it to the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals, over five days of head-to-head competition.
The Organizing Committee assessed that nearly three months of creation, practice and competition have helped the teams form a spirit of real research, real challenges and aim to create products that are competitive enough in the future.
Dr. Dinh Tan Hung said that in 2026, there are expected to be two new competitions, including the 2026 UAV innovation competition and the 2026 UUV innovation competition (intelligent diving device innovation) with many new challenges.
