On December 8, the Management Board of the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu (Quang Ninh province) held a meeting on providing information to serve the management of ticket sales to visit the scenic spot of Ha Long Bay.
When purchasing tickets, it is necessary to provide complete information to identify and verify personal information of visitors.
Accordingly, the Management Board of the World Heritage Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu requested units, businesses, organizations and individuals to provide full information to identify and verify personal information of tourists visiting Ha Long Bay when purchasing tickets .
Specifically, for Vietnamese guests, provide citizen identification information; personal identification code if the citizen is not old enough to be issued a citizen identification card.
For international guests, provide passport and nationality information. In case the guest is a child or a person who is not eligible for documents, it is necessary to provide information of the guardian or guarantor including full name, ID card/passport number and contact phone number for verification.
The above information is provided to ticket sellers and inspectors of the Ha Long - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board at Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port. This information is only used for the purpose of managing tourism activities in Ha Long Bay according to current regulations; ensuring security, data safety and privacy of visitors. Currently, when visiting Ha Long Bay, visitors only need to provide their name, age, gender and nationality.
At the meeting, the units discussed the implementation methods and roadmap. The Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board requested the units to send information and notifications to businesses and partners; and to increase propaganda on mass media.
Implementation will start from December 10, with the goal of completing data collection and applying information technology in ticket sales by January 1, 2026.
According to the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, this is an activity to improve the effectiveness of state management of tourism activities in Ha Long Bay, ensure safety and security for tourists, and gradually build a synchronous database to serve the comprehensive digital transformation of the activities of the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board.
