Nha Trang island tours still attract tourists

For the Nha Trang tourist season at the end of the year, travel businesses have begun to restore products and adjust schedules to suit the weather.

In addition, destinations have prepared to welcome visitors during Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year, ensuring safety and quality of service. Many countryside tours and experience tours are expected to reopen next month when the weather is more stable.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Hong Nguyen - Vice President of the Travel Association (Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association) - said that the recent floods generally affected a number of tourist routes, especially countryside tours, river experiences and some heritage sites.

However, according to Mr. Nguyen, the level of damage and impact was not serious and the units overcame it quite quickly.

"In Khanh Hoa, main tourist routes such as islands, bays, cities and basic cultural sites are operating normally. Some natural tourist attractions in the suburbs are only temporarily affected but are currently being cleaned and checked for safety before reopening," said Mr. Nguyen.

According to Mr. Nguyen, many destinations are now operating normally, but landslide routes on mountain passes and heritage tours such as Hon Ba are waiting to be repaired to resume.

For island tours are still attracting tourists, especially international tourists favor Nha Trang as a destination for the year-end tourist season.

International tourists to Nha Trang increase

Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Nha Trang tourist wharf - said that currently, Nha Trang tourist wharf welcomes more than 2,700 visitors every day to join the bay tour, of which over 80% are international visitors.

According to Mr. Phu, despite the recent floods, island tours are still operating safely. In addition to visiting places in the bay, tourists can experience many sea sports services.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa, except for the Chinese and Thai markets which are showing signs of slowing down, most markets sending tourists to Khanh Hoa have seen positive growth. The strongest increase is from Russian and CIS countries, while Korean tourists still hold the leading position and maintain a stable level.

Khanh Hoa tourism industry is also expanding to markets in Western Europe, the US, Japan, Taiwan (China), Malaysia, Singapore, etc. to diversify and balance the source of visitors. These markets all recorded growth rates of over 20%, showing Khanh Hoa's attraction to international visitors at the end of the year.

In addition, the expansion of more flights from Russia, South Korea, Singapore, plus many international cruises scheduled to Khanh Hoa are expected to help local tourism flourish in the last months of the year.
