Dong Tho Secondary School takes steady steps on the journey of educational innovation

According to Principal Le Thanh Hai, the past school year was a period in which teachers and students of the school maximized their internal strength, overcame difficulties to excellently complete assigned tasks. Dong Tho Secondary School continued to maintain discipline and order, and achieved proud achievements in teaching, management and comprehensive educational activities.

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the school was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City (old) for its many achievements in the emulation movement. The teaching staff has 8 teachers achieving the title of Emulation Fighter, 7 teachers receiving commendations from the Chairman of the City People's Committee and 24 teachers achieving the title of Advanced Labor... These numbers not only reflect the professional capacity of the teaching staff but also show the spirit of dedication, creativity and responsibility of each individual in their work.

In addition, the quality of general and key education of the school has achieved outstanding results. The whole school has 116 students winning excellent student awards at all levels, many of whom won high prizes in Math, English, Literature, Natural Sciences... Notably, 5 students of the school passed the entrance exam to specialized classes of Lam Son Specialized High School, the pride of the education sector of Thanh Hoa province.

The school's students' 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year achieved a passing rate of 86.6%, higher than the city's average. This is the result of careful preparation, scientific review work and serious learning spirit of students under the dedicated guidance of teachers.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, Dong Tho Secondary School clearly defines its development orientation: continuing to innovate management, improving teaching quality, building a happy, modern and sustainable educational environment. Mr. Le Thanh Hai emphasized that "discipline" is not only a slogan but also a guideline for all school activities in the new school year. "Discipline" to ensure a solid school routine; "Creativity" to ensure that each lesson and each activity has something new and flexible; "Breakthrough" to strongly rise in innovation; and "Development" to aim for a sustainable, long-term goal.

The school continues to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program, organizes two sessions per day, and focuses on innovating teaching methods towards developing students' abilities and qualities. Each teacher is encouraged to apply information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching, creating lively lessons that are closely linked to practice, helping students develop independent thinking, creativity and self-study ability.
