Health education communication

The provincial health sector focuses on promoting healtheducation and communication (HE). Currently, the sector's HE communication network has been developed from the province to the villages and hamlets with over 2,000 people.

Many news, articles, and video clips posted have attracted tens of thousands of views and shares on social networking platforms, contributing to improving the quality of health education communication, bringing health information to the community quickly and effectively.

The Department of Health Communication (CDC Quang Ninh) currently has 14 full-time staff. Every month, the Department implements a communication plan, maintains cooperative relationships with press agencies, researches the application of modern communication channels, and diversifies forms of content transmission on social networks... The Department enhances the initiative in providing information to press agencies to orient public opinion in a positive direction. The medical communication columns: For public health, Stories with doctors, Health is gold, Your doctor, Health and life... are implemented by the Department in coordination with the Provincial Communication Center on the Center's print, electronic, television and radio infrastructure. The Department coordinates with many central press agencies such as VOV, VTV, VTC14, Health and life newspaper, VnExpress, Zingnews... to regularly report widely on the medical field in Quang Ninh.

Medical units in the industry also promote GDSK communication activities. Hospitals: Provincial General Hospital, Bai Chay, Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi...; medical centers: Tien Yen, Hai Ha, Mong Cai... established communication teams, assigned staff in charge of communication. Bai Chay Hospital has established a Communication Board (10 people) headed by the Hospital Director. Every year, the Hospital produces hundreds of news, articles, and medical communication videos.

Director of Bai Chay Hospital Le Ngoc Dung said: Determining that medical communication plays an important role in the development of the hospital, the unit has proactively invested in human resources and equipment. Currently, the unit has attracted 2 staff members who are formally trained in journalism; effectively maintaining the provision of official information on the website, social networking sites such as Facebook, Zalo of the unit. The hospital also strengthens communication of medical information at patient council meetings, direct consultation sessions for patient treatment; communication in the waiting room area. GDSK communication activities are integrated and shared in mobile medical examination and treatment programs, remote medical examination and treatment, seminars, online and direct training courses... Thereby aiming to provide timely, official information, useful medical knowledge for people in health care and improvement.

At commune and village health stations, health education communication work is effectively integrated through direct communication activities at thematic talks, group discussions, and seminars in programs on disease prevention, vaccination, food safety, population and family planning, etc.

One of the greatest successes of health communication work recently is communication on Covid-19 epidemic prevention. The provincial health sector has proactively and actively promoted good people and good deeds; focused on news and articles guiding skills, consulting and answering questions related to safe living skills, safe living during the epidemic season, in epidemic areas, strengthening the protection of people's health, proposing and contributing solutions to fight the epidemic; refuting distorted, provocative and untrue information about epidemic prevention and control.
