From June 1, 2025, stop printing paper health insurance cards

On April 1, Vinh Long Provincial Social Insurance (SI) issued Official Dispatch No. 478/SI-TST on stopping printing paper health insurance cards.

Accordingly, from June 1, 2025, Vinh Long Social Insurance will stop printing paper cards for cases of re-issuance and exchange of health insurance cards. Vinh Long Social Insurance will only issue paper health insurance cards for the following cases: Unable to install VssID; Unable to install VneID; No CCCD with chip.

Vinh Long Provincial Social Insurance requested that service units and organizations guide participants to install the Social Insurance Digital Application (VssID), the electronic identification application (VneID) and guide them to use the image of the health insurance card on the VssID, VneID application or use a chip-embedded ID card to go to the hospital for examination and treatment instead of a paper health insurance card.
