However, Barbie Hsu's side denied it and said that Wang Xiaofei is the one who owes his ex-wife more than 15 billion VND. In a post on her personal page, the actress announced that she will not directly respond to Wang Xiaofei's defamation in the future but will let the law handle it.

Barbie Hsu and Wang Xiaofei married in 2011 and divorced in November 2021. Three months after their separation, Barbie Hsu registered her marriage to Korean artist DJ Koo. In 2023, Barbie Hsu sued Wang Xiaofei and Zhang Lan for "defamation", failing to provide post-divorce alimony as agreed, and disclosing her personal information.
