Border patrol during Tet holidays

As spring fills every corner, and families are busy preparing for Tet (Lunar New Year), in the southwestern border region, officers and soldiers of the Long An Provincial Border Guard still hold their weapons firmly, protecting the peace and security of the people as they celebrate the spring festival. For these border guards, ensuring security and order in the border area, preventing smuggling, and maintaining peace for the people is a constant mission.

During the recent Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon - 2024, a reporter from SGGP newspaper followed officers and soldiers of the Long An Provincial Border Guard to observe their patrol work along the border.

The Long An Provincial Border Guard Command is focusing on comprehensively reforming border guard work methods to firmly protect national territorial sovereignty and border security, and effectively combat activities that violate territorial sovereignty and border security at border gates.

The number of people returning from Cambodia to Vietnam in the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year) has increased.

Cambodian and Vietnamese authorities are cooperating to ensure security and order in the border area.
