Youth pioneers on the digital transformation front

Youth Green Transformation Highlights

The youth project “Digital map on management of newly planted trees by youth” was launched by the Provincial Youth Union in 2023 and widely disseminated to all levels of Youth Unions and Associations in the province. This project was highly appreciated by the Central Youth Union and selected as a pilot model for implementation and replication in many provinces and cities across the country.

With just a simple operation on a computer or smartphone, union members, youth and people can easily log into the system to view images of trees planted locally, monitor the number of newly planted trees as well as the growth progress of the trees. To date, this project is updating and managing more than 190 thousand trees planted and cared for by youth in the province.

Continuing to affirm its pioneering role, in 2024, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union launched the youth project "Digital map of volunteer activities". Instead of manually reporting the presence of union members when participating in activities, this project has become an effective management tool for local union officials. This is also considered a "handbook" to monitor updated information on Union and Association activities from the provincial to grassroots levels.

The “Digital Volunteer Activities Map” also helps members and young people easily track upcoming activities and register for appropriate volunteer activities. Members can also check-in directly by taking photos, recording videos , and sharing their feelings about their volunteer activities on the system.

In early April, the app “Digital tourism products, experiences, discoveries with young people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province” was introduced by the Provincial Youth Union to 200 Youth Union officials in the province. This is one of the two breakthrough tasks of the Provincial Youth Union in 2025, demonstrating the concretization of Resolution 57-QN/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The App is implemented by the Provincial Youth Center, designed on a modern digital technology platform, expected to launch in August 2025, and can be accessed on smartphones and computers. The App fully updates information on tourism activities, experiences, specialties, prominent locations, and tourist support activities of Youth Union and Association organizations; at the same time, it stores programs, introduces tourism products, and youth start-up services. From here, young people maximize their connection activities and contribute to the local tourism industry.

Pioneering on the digital transformation front

In addition to the digital transformation project of the Provincial Youth Union, the whole province also recorded more than 350 software and programs using QR codes designed by the Youth Union of units to serve internal activities. The Youth Union and Association at all levels also built more than 200 projects and tasks related to digitalization in many fields such as: libraries, introducing red addresses, landmarks, tourist destinations, dishes, local specialties...

Ms. Ho Thi Anh Tuyet, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, commented: Along with the development of the province, the youth continue to build many digital transformation projects, putting the role of young people in the central position, the subject of the implementation process. From the beginning of 2025, the Provincial Youth Union set a target of 100% of Youth Union and Association organizations organizing at least 1 activity to improve digital capacity for cadres, members and youth; creating conditions for union members to promote the spirit of initiative and creativity, carry out meaningful tasks, participate in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and digital transformation in the locality.
