Australia beat India in the most special match of the Asian Cup

The Australia vs India match was the first time an all-female refereeing team was in charge of the Asian Cup. Yoshimi Yamashita (Japanese) was assigned as the main referee. She was assisted by two assistants, Makoto Bozono and Naomi Teshirogi.

This is also the trio of the most prestigious female referees in Asia. They are the first female referee team of the AFC Cup (2019), AFC Champions League (2022) and J.League (2022).

Ms. Yamashita is the first female referee to officiate at the Asian Cup.
