Vietnam women's futsal team received a warm welcome before the Asian tournament.

On the afternoon of May 4, the Vietnamese women's futsal team moved to the Sheraton Hohhot Hotel - the official base of 6/12 teams participating in the final round of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship.

In addition to the four teams in Group A, China, Uzbekistan, Australia and Taiwan, two teams in Group B, Vietnam and Iran, are also stationed here. The tournament organizers have organized a warm and culturally rich reception, creating a friendly atmosphere for the teams.

Immediately after joining the official base, the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a light training session in the hotel gym.

The whole team then held a technical meeting, together analyzing the video of the friendly match with the Chinese women's futsal team on May 3 to draw professional lessons, aiming for the best performance at the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship.

In this match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang's team excellently equalized 2-2 after being down 0-2. However, the Vietnamese women's futsal team later lost to host China 3-4 in the penalty shootout.

Tomorrow (May 5), the Vietnamese women's futsal team will have their first official training session to prepare for their opening match against Hong Kong on May 7. The team will then meet the Philippines (May 9) and Iran (May 11).

The immediate goal of the Vietnamese women's futsal team is to pass the qualifying round before trying to win a ticket to the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup.

The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship takes place from May 7 to 18 in Inner Mongolia (China) with the participation of 12 teams, divided into 3 groups.

The top two teams in each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals.

The three strongest teams (champion, runner-up and third place) will qualify for the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup taking place at the end of the year in the Philippines.
