After a tense match against Myanmar to secure their place in the next round, the Vietnamese women's team was given a complete day off by the coaching staff today (December 12).
This is essential to help Huynh Nhu and her teammates recover their energy and regain their form after the dramatic group stage. The atmosphere within the team is currently very enthusiastic and relaxed.
Despite having a day off from training, the Vietnamese women's national team still traveled to TNSU Chonburi Stadium to familiarize themselves with the pitch. This is the new venue for the semi-final match at 4 PM on December 14th, instead of the familiar Chonburi Daikin Stadium used in the group stage.
Returning to the TNSU Chonburi stadium, coach Mai Duc Chung couldn't help but feel nostalgic as he recalled his team's 2019 championship victory there. He commented: "After six years, the pitch is still very beautiful, the grass is soft, and it's perfect for the Vietnamese women's national team to showcase their technical playing style."

However, the "captain" of the Vietnamese women's team was not complacent and showed great respect for the strength of their opponent in the semi-finals.
According to Mr. Chung's assessment, Indonesia has changed a lot at the SEA Games 33. The team from the archipelago has strongly rebuilt its squad with the addition of 6 new faces, mainly naturalized players, significantly upgrading its professional quality.
After carefully analyzing video footage of Indonesia's matches against Thailand and Singapore, coach Mai Duc Chung warned: "The more they play, the more they improve, both physically and tactically."
To prepare for the semi-final on December 14th, the Vietnamese women's national team will return to the Sansuk training ground at 3:30 PM tomorrow. Prior to that, coach Mai Duc Chung will attend the pre-semi-final press conference.
