Tuyen Quang: Buckwheat Flower Festival takes place at the end of November

The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just issued a plan to organize the 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival in 2025.

Accordingly, the festival will open on the evening of November 29 at the center of Dong Van commune. At the opening ceremony, the brand of the Tuyen Quang Buckwheat Flower Festival will be announced and tourism titles will be received in 2025; followed by a special art program with the theme "Blooming Rock Land".

To serve the festival, Tuyen Quang province has directed communes in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark to focus on planting buckwheat flowers at tourist attractions, rest stops and along the roads to the commune centers.

Within the framework of the festival, from November to December, at many tourist attractions, there will be activities to experience rock cultivation techniques; flax weaving; making buckwheat cakes; folk games such as throwing con, throwing pao, folk singing, playing sang, playing yen.

Over the years, the Buckwheat Flower Festival has become a typical and key tourism product of Tuyen Quang province. Every year, during the buckwheat flower season, Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark attracts hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
