Before that, U17 Vietnam spent nearly 1 month "training" at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center ( Hanoi ).

Having just finished a practice match with U17 Cambodia, in the afternoon practice session on November 4, coach Cristiano Roland only implemented relaxing activities to help the players relax their muscles and regenerate energy after a stressful training period.

U17 Vietnam actively prepares for Asian qualifiers
The Brazilian coach expressed his satisfaction with his players' training spirit and quick adaptation in recent times. He said: "What has pleased me most over the past month is that the players always feel comfortable wearing the national team shirt.
Some of them have been called up before, while many are being called up for the first time. However, all of them showed a desire to express themselves, get used to the team environment and adapt well to the playing style built by the coaching staff.
The players are showing confidence and understanding their roles in each situation. That is the foundation for the team to be in the strongest state when entering the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers."

Evaluating the 6 practice matches of U17 Vietnam in the past time, including the match with U17 Cambodia, coach Cristiano Roland said that this is an important step to help the team improve their skills.
“We have carefully planned and arranged for the players to compete with opponents of different ages and levels - from domestic U18, U19, U21 teams to the same-age opponents, U17 Cambodia.
Through each match, the players have made clear progress and achieved the goals set by the coaching staff. The three upcoming friendly matches during the training trip to Japan will also be very important, helping the whole team have the best preparation for the U17 Asian qualifiers," said coach Cristiano Roland.
According to the plan, during the training period in Japan, the team will play three friendly matches with professionally suitable opponents arranged by the Japan Football Federation.
On November 16, the team will return home to complete final preparations for the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers, taking place from November 22 to 30 in Hanoi and Hung Yen .
