Attending the meeting were a delegation from Hung Yen province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Chien, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Deputy Heads of the delegation included Ms. Quach Thi Huong, Principal of Nguyen Van Linh Political School; Mr. Vu Ngoc Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and other members.

Immediately after the Resolution was passed, Mr. Nguyen Van Chien, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province, the hometown of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don, sent his thanks to UNESCO and member countries for supporting the recognition and celebration of the 300th anniversary of the celebrity's birth.
Mr. Chien affirmed that Hung Yen province will closely coordinate with UNESCO and international partners to organize commemorative activities in 2026, contributing to spreading the cultural, scientific and humanistic values of Le Quy Don to friends around the world.
Cultural celebrity Le Quy Don was born on July 5, Binh Ngo year (August 2, 1726) in Dien Ha village, Dien Ha district, Son Nam Ha town (now Dong Phu village, Le Quy Don commune, Hung Yen province). He was one of the great scholars of 18th century Vietnam, leaving behind about 40 books covering most of the contemporary fields of knowledge.
In particular, the notes in the work "Phu bien tap luc" about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa when he was the Military Advisor in Thuan Hoa (1776) are considered an important basis to affirm Vietnam's territorial sovereignty over these two archipelagos.

UNESCO's passing of the Resolution honoring Cultural Celebrity Le Quy Don is an international recognition of his great contributions to human knowledge, and at the same time demonstrates the world community's respect for Vietnamese culture, science and education.
This event is also the result of close coordination between Hung Yen province, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO and domestic and foreign experts, thereby contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Hung Yen to international friends.
