The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has announced that the Vietnam U22 team, the Vietnam women's team, and the Vietnam men's and women's futsal teams will begin competing at the 33rd SEA Games from early December.
The Vietnamese women’s team is in Group B with Myanmar, Malaysia and the Philippines. According to the schedule at Chonburi Stadium, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will meet Malaysia on December 5, the Philippines on December 8 and close the group stage with a match against Myanmar on December 11.
The top two teams will advance to the semi-finals on December 14 at Chonburi Stadium or TNSU Chonburi Stadium, depending on the results of the host team Thailand. The final and bronze medal match will be held on December 17 at Chonburi Stadium.

The Vietnam U22 team under the leadership of coach Kim Sang Sik is in group B with U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos.
According to the schedule, the team will play against U22 Laos at 6:30 p.m. on December 4, then face U22 Malaysia at 6:30 p.m. on December 11. The matches of Group B will take place at Tinsulanon Stadium (Songkhla).
The three group winners and the best runners-up will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on December 15, while the bronze medal match and the final will be held on December 18, both at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.

In the futsal event, the Vietnamese men's futsal team will compete in a round-robin format with opponents from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar. The matches will take place at the Nonthaburi Gymnasium.
According to the schedule, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team will meet Malaysia on December 16, Indonesia on December 17, Thailand on December 18 and end the tournament with a match against Myanmar on December 19.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team, led by coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang, is in Group B with Indonesia and Myanmar. The matches will be held at BTU Hall (Bangkok Thonburi University).
The team will play its opening match against Indonesia on December 12 and its remaining group stage match against Myanmar on December 14. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals on December 16, before moving on to the final and bronze medal match on December 18.
