After the Vietnamese national team officially qualified for the 2024 AFF Cup final, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced that tickets for the match would go on sale at 8:00 AM on December 30th. According to the announcement, tickets for the final will only be sold online via the OneU app, instead of directly at the stadium as was the case for the previous semi-final match in Phu Tho .
However, despite their excitement, not all fans were able to get their dream tickets. The OneU app-based ticketing system experienced problems right from the start due to an overwhelming number of users accessing it, preventing many from logging in or completing transactions.
In response to this situation, OneU quickly posted an apology and temporarily postponed the sales launch:
" URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: TICKET SALES FOR VIETNAM NATIONAL TEAM'S HOME FINAL MATCH HAVE BEEN POSTPONED"
Dear Valued Customers,
First and foremost, OneU would like to sincerely apologize to our valued customers for the temporary system disruption caused by overloaded access during the ticket sales process for the ASEAN Cup 2024 home final match.
Our technical team is working urgently to get the ticketing portal back online as quickly as possible. OneU is committed to ensuring the ticketing process is smooth, fair, and convenient for fans.
Dear Customers, please follow the latest updates on the OneU app or official channels.
Best regards!
Tickets to watch the Vietnam national team's final match at Viet Tri Stadium range from 500,000 to 1 million VND.
Ticket prices for the final match also increased significantly compared to previous matches. The highest ticket price for the final reached 1,000,000 VND, the average price was 700,000 VND, and the lowest price was 500,000 VND, more than three times higher than the group stage (300,000 VND/ticket).
Despite the high ticket prices, demand remains very high. This demonstrates the love and faith that fans have in the Vietnamese national team. It also partly reflects the growing expectations of fans after the team gradually regained its form under the leadership of coach Kim Sang-sik.
The Vietnamese team will face the winner of the Thailand vs Philippines match. The first leg of the final will take place on the evening of January 2, 2025, at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho). The second leg will be held at 8 PM on January 5, 2025.
