[Video] Application of Biofloc technology in building an industrial-scale shrimp farming model

Biofloc shrimp products are mainly consumed in Quang Tri province, accounting for about 70% of the production. In other provinces and cities, the selling price remains stable at around 120,000 VND per kilogram for shrimp weighing 55-60 pieces. This is comparable to traditionally farmed shrimp but offers the advantage of being clean, antibiotic-free, and meeting VietGAP and ASC standards.

The project's practical experience shows that the whiteleg shrimp farming model using Biofloc technology has laid an important foundation for the transformation of the rural economic structure in Quang Tri, promoting sustainable shrimp farming and adaptation to climate change.

The initial success of the model, applied by 20 households on 5 hectares, has confirmed the potential for scaling up Biofloc technology in whiteleg shrimp farming not only locally but also in other localities nationwide and in the region.
