Despite facing a lot of pressure from the host country, Hong Ngoc and Ngoc Bich still excellently won the Bronze Medal, officially "opening" the medal tally for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games.
The couple Hong Ngoc and Ngoc Bich not only made a strong impression on the judges with their technique but also with their unique performance script.
Instead of choosing safe themes, the Vietnamese couple decided to bring a "horror" flavor to the competition.
After winning the first medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation, Hong Ngoc shared: "Actually, it's quite ironic that both Ngoc Bich and I are very afraid of ghosts. But people say that if you're afraid of something, you have to face it. Because we were afraid, we knew what that feeling was like, and we decided to use our fear as the foundation for our performance."
Talking more about her opponents, Hong Ngoc said: “The judges scored very fairly and civilly. As for the Thai opponents, although they are very strong, we have encountered them many times so we are no longer afraid. Wearing the Vietnamese flag, we will fight with all our might on the field.”
Meanwhile, Ngoc Bich revealed that she was still quite nervous after winning the Bronze Medal. However, she promised to change the medal color in the following events.
