According to the draw results, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in Group B of the SEA Games 33 along with Myanmar, Malaysia, and Indonesia, with their opening match against Myanmar at 3 PM on December 10th.

This opponent has long been underestimated, and even information about their squad and preparation process is almost a mystery.

On the contrary, Vietnam has a squad of stars who have made their names known in the continent such as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, along with pillars Lam Oanh, Le Thanh Thuy and Nhu Quynh. With the superior quality of the squad, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team are expected to not face many difficulties and can take advantage of the opening match to test their personnel.

Of course, volleyball always holds surprises, but Vietnam's performance over the past year – with consistently defeating stronger teams than Myanmar – suggests the risk of a setback is very low. A victory would provide momentum for their quest to win a different colored medal at the SEA Games 33.
