The ranking of “Asia’s most popular return destinations” recently announced by Agoda shows that Da Nang is considered the most attractive city in Asia.
Notably, Da Nang has made it into the top 10 Asian cities with the highest rate of returning visitors for the first time. This vibrant coastal city has officially entered the group of most attractive destinations in Asia, reflecting the growing appeal of Vietnam on the regional tourism map.
Da Nang is known as a “livable city” not only because of its environmental quality, social order and modern infrastructure but also because of its in-depth approach to tourism. In recent years, the city has invested heavily in tourism infrastructure such as transportation systems, international airports, coastal resorts, and a series of high-class entertainment venues such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Nui Than Tai hot spring park, and Asia Park.
With its location stretching between the blue sea and majestic mountains, Da Nang possesses rare natural beauty. My Khe Beach was once voted by Forbes as one of the most attractive beaches on the planet, while Son Tra Peninsula, Hai Van Pass, Ngu Hanh Son or hot mineral springs are ideal destinations for those who love to explore nature.
In particular, the central location helps Da Nang conveniently connect with other famous tourist destinations such as Hoi An, Hue, Ba Na Hills, Cu Lao Cham..., creating a closed journey chain, easy to move but still enough to experience new things.

According to Agoda, the top 5 destinations with the most returning tourists in Vietnam in the first half of this year include Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phu Quoc.
If the three beach “paradises” conquer tourists with their fine white sand, clear blue water and sunny resorts, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi attract tourists with their vibrant lifestyle, cultural depth and colorful local culinary map, creating a harmonious combination of relaxation and local experiences.
With Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general increasingly recognized internationally as attractive destinations, our country's tourism industry is facing a great opportunity to build a sustainable development strategy, focusing on tourists, thereby increasing the return rate - the leading important indicator in modern tourism development.
According to the National Tourism Administration, in July 2025, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached 1.56 million, an increase of 6.8% over the same period last year. In the past 7 months, 12.2 million international visitors chose Vietnam as a destination, an increase of 22.5% over the same period in 2024.
Notably, despite being the low season for international tourism, the number of arrivals in July has begun to increase compared to June (+6.8%), especially from European markets, up 38%. Arrivals from Poland and Switzerland increased by 44.8% and 15.8% respectively compared to the same period in 2024.

This is a very positive signal showing the effectiveness of the open visa policy and a series of promotional activities of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam National Tourism Administration in recent times in 6 European countries (France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany).
China continues to be Vietnam's largest tourist market with 3.1 million arrivals (accounting for 25.5%), followed by South Korea (2.5 million arrivals, accounting for 20.7%), Taiwan (737 thousand arrivals), the US (522 thousand arrivals), and Japan (380 thousand arrivals).
The 10 largest markets for Vietnamese tourism also include Cambodia, India, Australia, Russia, and Malaysia. Russia continues to be the largest market in the European region and ranks 9th in the top 10 markets sending the most visitors.
With the figures achieved in the past 7 months, experts believe that Vietnamese tourism has every chance of reaching the target of 22-23 million international visitors and over 120-130 million domestic visitors, contributing to the GDP growth target of over 8% in 2025 and double-digit growth in the coming period./.
