On the afternoon of November 21, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , spokesperson Pham Thu Hang answered questions about Vietnam receiving a number of US-made training aircraft.
According to Ms. Hang, on the basis of the defense cooperation agreement between Vietnam and the US, on November 20, Vietnam received five new generation T-6C training aircraft manufactured by the US.
This activity is within the framework of the well-developed Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the US, actively contributing to peace and stability in the region as well as in the world , the spokesperson affirmed.
Previously, the handover ceremony of 5 US-made T-6C training aircraft took place in Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan).
These are the first five aircraft in a batch of 12 T-6C aircraft that the US will transfer to Vietnam, within the framework of the agreement signed between the two countries.
