Vietjet will operate a direct flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Perth, the airline's fourth direct route connecting destinations from Vietnam to Australia, starting November 21st.
Vietjet is the first airline to operate a direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Perth, the capital of Western Australia and the fourth most populous city in Australia. The Ho Chi Minh City - Perth route is operated by the airline with two round-trip flights per week. Flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 1:35 PM (local time) on Tuesdays and Saturdays, arriving in Perth at 9:20 PM (local time). In the return flight, the flight departs from Perth International Airport at 11:20 PM (local time) and arrives at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) at 5:05 AM (local time), also on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The new route will increase the total number of flights between Vietnam and Australia operated by Vietjet to 19 round-trip flights per week. Previously, in April, the airline launched two direct routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Sydney and Melbourne; and launched a direct route from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane in June.
In addition, the airline also operates connecting flights from destinations in Vietnam that it serves to four cities in Australia.
To celebrate the launch of a new route connecting Perth with Ho Chi Minh City, Vietjet is offering a series of tickets from 0 VND (excluding taxes and fees) applicable to all routes to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne on the Vietjet website or mobile app. The promotional ticket sale period is from 00:00 to 23:59 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Travel dates are flexible from August 10, 2023 to March 31, 2024 (excluding holidays, peak seasons, etc., subject to seasonal characteristics of each market). "This program aims to express gratitude for the support and trust of millions of passengers towards Vietjet, helping the airline continuously open new routes," a representative of the airline stated.
