Vinh Long: Applying artificial intelligence to serve state management of science and technology

On the morning of April 14, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology (KH&CN) of Vinh Long province coordinated with the Center for Computer Engineering - University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City to organize a training course: "Application of artificial intelligence to serve state management of science and technology in Vinh Long province".

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Mr. Nguyen Van Gioi - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Vinh Long province affirmed that the training course was implemented as a basis to help civil servants and public employees of the Department raise awareness of the position, role and importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital transformation process and proactively participate in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the province, improve the application of AI in public administration and online public services, thereby reducing work processing time and waiting time, reducing costs, contributing to improving public service efficiency.

At the same time, the Copilot application is an AI assistant developed and built by Microsoft on the same platform as Bing Chat, guided in training classes, widely used in office administration to increase work efficiency, build and form open data ecosystems for all fields to improve the productivity of office staff in general. Therefore, all civil servants and public employees are required to fully attend, seriously study, at the same time, acquire knowledge, participate in building, interact with reporters to quickly point out limitations and difficulties that need to be resolved in the work in the coming time.

Applying artificial intelligence and data science to promote innovation among adolescents.

Here, civil servants and public employees of the Department listened to and practiced some contents such as: (1) Some problems in the direction of science, technology, digital transformation and innovation; (2) AI and development trends; (3) Microsoft 365 Copilot and some main features.

The training course has contributed to raising awareness among civil servants and public employees of the Department of Science and Technology about the position, role and importance of AI in digital transformation, in addition to improving AI application skills in public administration to help reduce work processing time, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the state administrative management system on science and technology of Vinh Long province according to Plan No. 32/KH-SKHCN dated April 8, 2025 of the Department of Science and Technology on training and coaching to raise awareness and skills on AI application to serve state management./.
