In recent times, Dak Lak province has implemented many programs, projects, and policy mechanisms to promote the application of information technology, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. In particular, from July 1, 2025, the new 2-level government apparatus officially came into operation, initially bringing clear results: Quickly resolving work for people and businesses, building a modern, transparent administration, and serving the people better.

Mr. Bui Thanh Toan, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, said: Digital transformation is an inevitable trend, an opportunity for Dak Lak to make a breakthrough in development, improve management quality, serve people and businesses, towards the goal of " Digital technology - Creating the future", making Dak Lak one of the leading localities in digital transformation in the Central Highlands and South Central Coast.

Mr. Bui Thanh Toan, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, experienced digital applications, digital products, scientific and technological solutions, innovation and digital transformation in the province.

In the first 9 months of 2025, under the close attention and direction of the Government and Central Ministries and branches, Dak Lak province has synchronously deployed many programs, projects and policies to promote the application of information technology, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. In particular, from July 1, 2025, the two-level local government model officially came into operation, initially bringing clear results: Solving work faster for people and businesses, building a modern, transparent administration, serving the people better.

The digital transformation of Dak Lak province in recent times has recorded many outstanding marks: Applying artificial intelligence (AI) in supporting the settlement of administrative procedures and the operation of two-level government; Launching the "Digital Education for the People" movement (July 15 - October 25, 2025) with 10 specific goals to popularize digital knowledge to all classes of people; Strongly developing telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring 100% of villages and hamlets have broadband connection, 99.9% of the population has 4G coverage and 26% has 5G coverage; Significantly improving the quality of online public services, with the rate of online records reaching over 35%, more than 300,000 records received (of which over 75% are through the digital environment); The index of serving people and businesses ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide... At the same time, the province is striving to complete the Digital Transformation Infrastructure Construction Project for the period 2021-2025, oriented to 2030 with a total cost of more than 300 billion VND in 2025.

To date, the province has completed 17/25 tasks according to Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW of the Central Steering Committee, and continues to deploy the remaining 8 tasks. All communes and wards in the province have achieved "green" status, completing 16/16 commune-level criteria and tasks in phase 1. At the program, Dak Lak province launched a peak period of "Improving the effectiveness of digital transformation at the commune level", aiming to complete 94 criteria of phase 2 according to Plan 02-KH/BCĐTW.
