Cash flow unexpectedly focused heavily on the real estate sector. Some industry stocks such as DXG and PDR hit the ceiling. The positive recovery of real estate stocks helped the market trade well, returning to surpass the 1,280 point mark.
VN-Index exceeded 1280 points. |
After 3 consecutive sessions of decline, on October 17, trading was still gloomy and investors seemed not very interested in the market at the moment. However, some stocks were pulled above the reference level, contributing to the slight increase in the indices. The disappearance of cash flow made the green color, although appearing, still quite "fragile". After the first trading hour after opening, the trading value on HoSE was only at 1,200 billion VND. Weak demand, the indices gradually fell below the reference level, in which, pressure appeared from many stocks such as banks, securities, steel, chemicals.
However, a surprise occurred in the second half of the afternoon session when demand surged dramatically in the real estate group and "triggered" a series of other stock groups to recover, so the indices were also pulled above the reference level. VN-Index and HNX-Index both closed at the session's highest level.
The focus of attention was on real estate stocks. After trading sluggishly at the beginning of the session, a series of stocks broke out again. Among them, DXG and PDR played the role of "locomotive" when they were pulled up to the ceiling price. In addition, codes such as CEO, DIG, QCG, SCR, DXS, HPX... also increased sharply in price.
The excitement spread to many other stock groups, in which, securities stocks had a good recovery despite a sharp decline. VDS only decreased by 0.71%, MBS increased by 1.4%, VND increased by 1.7%, SSI increased by 1.3%, VCI increased by nearly 3% and was the stock leading the cash flow into the securities group.
In the banking group, VCB was the stock with the most positive contribution to the VN-Index with 0.95 points. At the end of the session, VCB increased by 0.77%. BID increased by 0.9% and also contributed 0.62 points. The next positions in the list with the most positive contribution to the VN-Index all belonged to the banking group including MBB, STB,ACB , CTG or MSB.
On the other hand, HDB went against the positive movement of the banking group when it fell sharply by 1.7% and was the stock with the most negative impact on the VN-Index when it took away 0.32 points. Stocks such as GAS, SAB, GMD or GVR… also decreased in price and negatively impacted the fluctuations of the VN-Index.
Bank stocks contributed the most points to the increase in the session on October 17. |
