The subject confessed that he often wandered on national or provincial highways between 11pm and 4am the next morning, looking for well-off families with cars parked in their yards or on the street.

After breaking into the house, Vu used a hammer or shovel to break the car window to steal valuables.

Vu confessed that he always carried a gun and pepper spray, ready to shoot when discovered or chased.

Phu Tho Provincial Police affirmed that the quick arrest of Ly Van Vu, ensuring absolute safety for the arrest force and the people in the area, demonstrated the ingenuity, courage, and determination of the Phu Tho police force to attack and suppress criminals; at the same time, contributed to preventing this dangerous subject from having the conditions to continue committing crimes.

Before that, Ly Van Vu held a gun and ran into the mountainous area of My Luong commune, Yen Lap district, Phu Tho in an attempt to escape.

Colonel Nguyen Minh Tuan, Director of Phu Tho Provincial Police, and Colonel Hoang Nguyen Phi Khanh, Deputy Director of Phu Tho Provincial Police - Head of the Investigation Police Agency, were directly present at the scene to direct the arrest.
