On December 9, the People's Committee of Lien Son commune organized a conference to propagate and disseminate legal education under Sub-project 2 - Project 9 of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas by 2025. The activity aims to raise awareness among people, contributing to reducing the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage in the area.

100 delegates were heads of women's associations in villages and women of childbearing age in the commune attending the conference.

At the conference, reporters from the Office of the People's Council, People's Committee and staff of the Commune Health Station conveyed three key contents, including: Regulations of the Law on Marriage and Family; consequences of early marriage; serious risks from incestuous marriage.

This is an important basis for localities to effectively implement the National Target Program, promptly detect problems in the implementation process, ensure the right use of resources, and avoid overlap.

Comrade Dinh Van Thuyen - Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Lien Son commune spoke at the conference.

Recommendations from the conference will be compiled to advise the Commune National Target Program Management Board and the Commune People's Committee to direct and make appropriate adjustments, contributing to the goal of reducing early marriage and incestuous marriage in the area.
